Bo Pepper are one of THE bands to watch out for in 2008. Their influences are The Feeling, The Hoosiers, Blondie and knitted sock puppets. Bo Pepper are as yet unsigned but they have recently played the prestigious SXSW festival in Austin, Texas thanks to a grant from PRS and supported Sparks at Islington carling Academy, as well as headlining The Apple Store for City Showcase, with Gabriella Cilmi as support. They have just had their first big feature in Bizarre in The Sun (21st June 2008)!
The new line-up featuring lead singer and songwriter Dolly, Remy, Matt Park and Danny have been together just a few months but Bo Pepper have already created some amazing new demos in main songwriter Dolly's bedroom. The cream of the world’s top producers are aching to work with them, such as Steve Lillywhite (U2) and Greg Wells (Mika).
The band's unique puppet-fronted videos, created by the boys at Pennymix Films, have notched up over 1,000,000 hits online, making them more famous than Sooty, less so than Orvill! Their Christmas vid was the SECOND MOST VIEWED MUSIC VIDEO on YOUTUBE (13th November 2007) after celebrity blogger Perez Hilton featured it on his website which gets 7 million visitors per day. He has now featured the band 4 times!
