Named after their ginger haired bass player, the Ashbies have been creating a lot of talk within the music industry.
Hailing from Winchester, Will, Charlie, Brendan and Jon are already in the process of putting together their third album, quite an achievement when you consider the band are aged only between 17 and 18. Their songs have the hall markings of such legends as The Beatles and Bob Dylan as well as Tom Waits and Longpigs. Having stormed the Great Escape festival in Brighton earlier this year they were recently taken on for management by Stephen King (who formed Creation Management with Alan McGee), with him in tow the Ashbies seem set to take the music world by storm in 2009.
Their self published second album “These Days Are Ours” is currently available from the bands website, they will be performing songs for their anticipated follow up at The Lockout.
