Fiona Bevan

The sweet fiery warblings of Suffolk singer-songwriter Fiona Bevan have been compared to Erykah Badu, Billy Holiday, Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell and Feist. Her jazz-inflected folk songs wryly depict love and city life through her award-winning lyrics with dark quirks and kooks and kinks.

Fiona's solo debut, the 'In The Swimming Pool' EP, ranked 3rd in Londonist's top 10 best cds (www.londonist.com) - unheard of for an unsigned artist. She has spent the summer in the recording studio creating a full album follow-up to the EP, which will be ready this autumn, co-produced with Andy Fell, producer of folk-punkers The Sways.

Fiona has been showcasing all over the UK including shows at: Manchester's In The City 2007, London's City Showcase 2007.

Currently Fiona is working the electro pop field with Shoreditch producer The Living Graham Bond, is part of the folk/anti-folk collective As Yet, and has been working with Talvin Singh's sarod player Soumik Datta.
