After 20 years providing music studios and creative space Lockout Music Studios continues to give back to our artists and creative community with the launch of our own record label Lockout Music.

With releases across a full spectrum of genres and styles, Lockout Music highlights major talent and pioneering artists from the 90s, 2000s and today — music you can’t find anywhere else! We think you’ll love our highly curated artist roster as much as we do.

Black Holiday

In Flames, Avenged Sevenfold, System of a Down, Slipknot, Cradle of Filth

Black Holiday was one of the premier metal acts to come out of SoCal in the early 2000s. They opened for Slayer, System of a Down, In Flames and other big acts. Black Holiday released a full-length album in 2003 on Keeper Music — the good folks at legendary metal music magazine, Keeper! Black Holiday was featured on the cover of Keeper Magazine. They also released an EP following their full-length.

Lockout Music is excited to re-release their full length self-titled album along with their EP titled Possession. We know you’ll enjoy this Melodic Death Metal Classic and get ready to put up your devil horns!

Bona*Fide

Ska, Reggae, Post-hardcore, Punk

Fishbone, Faith No More, Bad Brains

Santa Barbara based Bona*Fide was a SoCal favorite in the late 1990s and early 2000s. They played with Ska favorites the Skeletones, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Fishbone and Helmet among others. Their original blend of ska, reggae, and post-hardcore riffs made them diverse enough to hang with a multitude of different genres and artists. Their live show was an explosion of energy and something fans would always come out for.

Lockout Music is excited to re-release their epic EP titled Disenformulated. Check out their track “7 Seas” featuring Dial 7.

Vicki Calhoun

Rock, Funk, Soul

Fishbone, Weapon of Choice,
Red Hot Chili Peppers

Legendary funk, soul singer Vicki Calhoun has been part of the Los Angeles and SoCal rock and funk scene since the early 90s. She sang with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sound Garden / Chris Cornell, Fishbone, Weapon of Choice and others. Vicki was also on the Training Day and Good Burger soundtracks. You can see her highlighted in the Red Hot Chili Peppers video “Knock Me Down” among other classic videos. 

Lockout Music is thrilled to release and spotlight some of Vicki’s solo work. She is an incredible song writer, lyricist, vocalist and great human being! On top of all that she has a Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Education! Beauty, talent and brains!  Check out her track with Angelo, lead singer of Fishbone!

Before Epitaph signed Death By Stereo, singer Efrem Shultz had a 3-piece punk band out of Fullerton called Clint. Clint’s debut full length album came out in 1996. Their energetic live shows soon made them a household name in the SoCal punk scene and were featured on the Orange County’s Punk Vs. Ska – Round 2 Compilation. Drummer Steve Cordero also played drums in the early stages of Orange County ska band Save Ferris. Front man Efrem is currently the singer for VooDoo Glow Skulls, Manic Hispanic and Death By Stereo! Talk about a busy schedule!

Lockout Music is excited to re-release their full length self-titled album It’s Another Night in Lonelysville…. Sure to be a must-hear album for all punk enthusiasts.

Direct from Long Beach California comes male/female electro/dance duo Delcroy. 2010 they dropped the video for the debut single “FRESH”! Filled with a slew of catchy synth-stabs and beautifully airy pop vocals it’s one of the best independent videos out there and one of the catchiest hooks! “FRESH” blew up in the dance club scene and DJs spin it around the world! Definitely one to check out!

DieAna

DieAna is an edgy, auspicious, cinematic, musically energetic artist. Her relatable lyrics and unique voice gives her a diverse and aesthetically pleasing sound which has been compared to the likes of Blondie, The Pretenders, Eurythmics, and Smashing Pumpkins. Hollywood based Diana Meyer along with co-writer, (Bullets and Octane founder) Brent Clawson, have created something special that will keep you singing along and wanting to hear the tracks over and over!

Flesh Missile is a anonymous project from 2 females. We don’t know much about them except they are the hottest thing in the underground club scene for the LGBTQ community. Their 1st single
“TWINK” has been played in clubs around the world. Like Daft Punk, they are mysterious, but people love to dance and sing along to their debut track. Looking forward to more music from Flesh Missile!

Before Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson were household names there was an innovative group that never got full recognition. The Great Mechanical Sky, a 3-piece act played the local SoCal Industrial/Goth/Synth Rock scene in the clubs for years. Their 1st show was at local Goth institution Ipso Facto which is still running strong 30 years later.

Halfway Home

For you fans of 90s emo, indie and post-hardcore you’re going to love Halfway Home. They came out in the mid 90s around the time Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Coheed and Cambria and others were blowing up. Halfway Home played the SoCal club scene for years, opening for bands like Atreyu, Thrice, Coheed and Cambria, AFI, My Chemical Romance and others.

If you’re a fan of Steel Panther, Tenacious D and Spinal Tap you’ll love Head Cheese! They played the club circuit for many years and still occasionally bless the stage. They have a cult following of loyal cheeseheads! Their songs and live shows are hilarious, witty, and NEVER politically correct!

Jesus Wore Dickies

Jesus Wore Dickies was one of the seminal groups to come out of Long Beach along with their friends Sublime. Jesus Wore Dickies started releasing music in the mid 90s well into the 2000s. Jesus Wore Dickies music was influenced by Terminal Island in San Pedro. A dystopian like city where oil rigs and refineries replace trees and nature. The story goes they hid a treasure in Terminal Island and the clues to find it are in the music. Jesus Wore Dickies were incredible songwriters and ahead of their time!

30 Years Gone

In 1989, a group of 18 year-olds set out to conquer the world with their music. Now, decades later, they’ve reunited and re-recorded their entire library of songs. 30 Years Gone is a mix of Folk, Americana, Country, and classic rock, along the lines of The Eagles, Ray Lamontagne, and Band of Horses. Their debut album, Reunion, was originally released on EGCK Records in 2020, and is a masterwork of heart-felt storytelling, with unforgettable melodies. Their single, “Along The Way,” features a music video that will make you dance, and might make you cry!

Too Fast

Too Fast is the breakthrough collaboration of three seasoned artists- EDM producer and Influencer Cyran, established rapper K-lien and vocalist Dave L. Their music is a blend of EDM and Hip-Hop infused with bold topical themes. The group’s name is a reflection on all things that go “too fast”– from life itself to the frenetic pace of change in the world/technology/politics– and the challenge of dealing with it all. Too Fast has three music videos filmed by producer and MTV/VMA winner Satien Mehta.

V12

Hip Hop, Hardcore, Punk

Wu Tang, Cypress Hill, Refused, Minor Threat

V12 stemmed from a collaboration of musicians in various established projects. The members love for Hip Hop, Punk Rock and Hardcore fused together to generate something new. V12 was signed to Priority Records (Ice Cube’s label). V12’s video for song titled “Rumble” was played on MTV-2 and appeared on epic compilation Rebirth Of The Loud with fellow artists Korn, Ice Cube, Incubus and Refused. V12 also made an original cover of Minor Threats classic “Seeing Red,” but with their own Hip Hop twist.

Vitamin L

Funk, Punk, Metal, Ska, Hip Hop

Fishbone, Primus, Mr. Bungle, Cypress Hill,
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Faith No More

OC Weekly voted Vitamin L one of the top 100 bands to come out of Orange County. Vitamin L was a popular SoCal band in the mid 90s. They played Warped Tour, opened for No Doubt, Korn, Deftones, Sublime, Incubus, Blink 182, Ice T, Helmet and even Hip Hop legends Digital Underground showing their diversity. Vitamin L had a KROQ single in rotation with their cover of Wall of Voodoo’s hit song “Mexican Radio.” They were on the cover of numerous magazines and even had an action figure that a music enthusiast made that resembled the singer. Their line-up consisted of the standard guitar, bass, drums but they also had a trombone player that sang backups.
